Starting the Application

To begin the process of excellence, please click the button below and find the unit closest to you. If you already have a specific unit in mind, you may scroll through the options presented to find your ideal unit. This Unit is "San Bernardino Valley"

Hit "Join Our Unit"

When on your chosen Unit page, you scroll to the join button which should be at the bottom of the page. You will be redirected to our contact page at which point you will scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Join". Please fill out all information given and submit the request.

Staff Approval

The application submitted will be reviewed by a member of our staff and a passcode will be sent to your email giving you access to the secured application program. You will then need to fill out 10 different pages of which will go over specifics about your child.

PLEASE NOTE: Allergy Medication, Physical and Mental disabilities, and any other condition your child may have will need to be reported at this time. Failure to report will result in a rejected application.

Unit Commander Approval

When the application is complete and submitted, the Unit Commander will review the application and submit all candidates for Headquarter approval. Once approved, the youth will become a Poolee/ Recruit in our national database and can begin participating in the Drills.

●All drills will be from 8am to 2pm. 

Fees

Enrollment of 1 Child = $300.00

Enrollment of 2 Children = $450.00

Enrollment of 3 Children = $600.00

Please make all checks payable to "San Bernardino Valley Young Marines", we also accept cash and Zelle. Please maintain all receipts. 

About Recruit Training

Just as in the Marine Corps, a youth must go through a 9 day recruit training of which will test their knowledge and physical abilities in order to earn the title of Young Marine. These meetings will consist of 7 days of standard drilling from 0800-1300 on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month and a 24 hour training on a select date.

FAQs

How Much is the cost and what does it cover?

The initial cost to enter recruit training is a one time payment of $300.00. This will go towards food, facility usage, database upkeep, and uniform production (excluding boots). Once the Recruit finishes training and graduates, there will be a Yearly fee of $60 to maintain database upkeep and Unit Stock.

As far as training, do you accommadate for age differences and youth needs?

In the first two days of recruit training, we assess the capabilities of each recruit and design a training plan of which will work best for each recruit while presenting a unique chance for them to grow with their peers.

Can my child try out the program before they commit?

Any prospective youth can have the opportunity to attend one of our drills at any time, for this please coordinate with a staff member.
